Sir Isaac Newton (1643-1727) discovered that white light consisted of all colors. Helmut and Otto recreate the experiment. By sending white light through a prism they get a color range of seven colors. A rule of thumb for these rainbow colors are ROGGBIV. Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet.

Shown on TV: 09 December 1983 NRK (Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation)Sendt:
What is really happening when we see different colors? Is a box painted red inside really red inside when the lid is on? We'll see how light consists of several colors and what it means for the colors we see, as in a rainbow. Anyone who has painted is acquainted with mixing of colors. Mixing yellow and blue becomes green. But what happens when we mix light?

At CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, physicists and engineers are probing the fundamental structure of the universe.
They use the world's largest and most complex scientific instruments to study the basic constituents of matter – the fundamental particles. The particles are made to collide together at close to the speed of light. The process gives the physicists clues about how the particles interact, and provides insights into the fundamental laws of nature.
